La Croix Canon is one of the foremost producers in Fronsac, a part of Bordeax that is rather overshadowed by its more illustrious neighbour, St Emilion but produces good quality workmanlike wines at sensible prices. This, from the good 1996 vintage is a bit of a snip and well worth a try if you want drinking claret now and cant wait.
