Chateau Musar 2001 Hochar, Lebanon

A miracle of wine making, Ch Musar is always of very high quality. From a blend of Cabernet and Cinsault, Serge Hochar fashions this unique full flavoured complex wine.

Serge Hochar took over from his father Gaston who founded Chateau Musar in an old 18th Century castle at Ghazir, north of Beirut. Gaston studied oenology in Bordeaux and now runs the vineyard with his brother. The vines are planted in the Bekaa valley to the east, where he grows Cabernet Sauvignon and Cinsault with some Syrah.
