Merlot 2016 Vignobles Montagnac, Vin de Pays D’Oc.

£8.45

This variety expresses notes of red and black fruits. Full in the mouth, the wine shows a nice finish with hints of black chocolate. The tannins are soft and round exactly what is expected of Merlot. Delicious to drink young, with its fresh fruit character.
Wine advice: Drink with grilled and lightly spiced dishes

Located in the heart of the Languedoc, Montagnac have been making wine since 1937. Montagnac wines were exported to ancient Rome as evidenced by the MAF seal amphorae found at the estate. The quality of the wines comes from the diversity of soils, which extend from the edge of the Thau Lagoon to the Herault valley. The area is dominated by a Mediterranean climate conducive to the cultivation of the vine.
