Mixed Rosé Case (6 bottle case)
Not just for summer, Rosé has become a drink for all occasions, with its combination of fresh bright aromas and soft fruit flavours, it elegantly straddles the gap between white and red. Perfect on its own but excellent with all kinds of modern cookery.
Our mixed case has wines of all hues, from the almost white Grolleau Gris from the Western Loire, to the strawberry red of the Senora Rosa from Chile. Something for everyone we feel at a competitive price. Price is for a case of six bottles
1 bottle of each of the following:
St Louis de Provence, Coteaux Varois en Provence France
Every now and again a wine style comes along that really catches the imagination. Prosecco is a classic example of this phenomenon, and so is Provencal rosé. Rising to prominence in the last few years it has spearheaded a huge growth in all things pale pink. The paler the better. This Rosé has all the right attributes, elegance, aromatic red fruit flavours and a dry finish. Perfect.
Caprice de Gris Pays DO’C France
Classic Southern french blend of Syrah, Cinsault and Grenache. Lively, fresh and with plenty of fruit flavours. Dry.
El Molino Cabernet Rose Spain
La Mancha in Spain is not normally known as a source of crisp pale wines, So this cabernet rosé is a bit of a revelation. With perfectly poised raspberry fruit flavours and a gluggable off dry finish it slips down a treat.
Grolleau Gris Eleon Or Domaine Herbauges Loire France
Strictly speaking, this is a white, but the Grolleau grape is pink and the colour bleeds into the juice at pressing, giving a white wine with a hint of pink, not unlike a Pinot Grigio.
Senora Rosa Cabernet Sauvignon Rose Chile
For those of you for whom the pale rosé revolution has passed by, we have a wine of a darker hue from our perennial favourite, Senora Rosa in Chile. From the cabernet grape, this is fuller flavoured as well as coloured with more robust fruits and a fuller finish. Great if you want to stick to rosé throughout the meal.
Pinot Grigio Rosato Villa Benizi Venezie Italy
The classic blush wine from this pink grape. Mostly pressed to white, it is sometimes allowed to sit on the skins to create the Ramato effect. Salmon pink and with hints of strawberry. Very quaffable.
